PRESS RELEASE - January 2006 Charleston/Columbia, SC - You can say it is the upstate meeting the lowcountry or male meets female and both would apply. PST Computer Training of Charleston, SC and Training Concepts of Columbia, SC announced this week that they will be partnering to offer a full-line of certified hands-on training services to include integration services for small to large businesses.

PST Computer Training began offering computer training courses in Charleston in 1994 and has been the leader in training ever since. They offer a myriad of application courses such as MS Office, professional development courses (Conflict Management, Team Building, Business Grammar, Emotional Intelligence and various other courses) as well as certified technical training (CISCO, Microsoft, SQL, Lotus Notes, UNIX, LINUX, Exchange and more…). PST has trained over 90,000 participants in over 7,000 courses across the United States in the past 12 years. They have three public classrooms in North Charleston and do 60% of their business at the client site in various states.

Training Concepts began offering technical training courses and integration services in Columbia in 2001. They offer Cisco (switching, routing, PIX, etc.) , Microsoft (Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA, SQL, SMS, etc.), security (Certified Ethical Hacking, CISSP, Security+, Securing Cisco Network Devices), Citrix, and Netware courses. Training Concepts’ instructors split their time between teaching and consulting. This is one of the main differences between Training Concepts and other technical training centers. Requiring their instructors to spend a set number of hours each month in the field ensures they are not just book smart, but they also know how everything works in the “real world”. Training Concepts has three classrooms available for public training in Columbia.

Both companies believe that customer service is the key to their success, thus the marriage of the two companies allows them to compliment one another’s services while staying true to their companies ideals.

PST is woman-owned while Training Concepts is an all male firm, thus the partnering is Mike meets Carol as their staffs follow suit in gender. Each company is structured identical in their business ideals and organizational structure. The difference is in their offerings and expertise, thus partnering makes perfect sense.
