Mass Mutual Supports Charleston Breast Center and Women At Work

 

At the January 11^th, 2006 Women At Work's first lunch meeting of the year, Nick Gavalas of Mass Mutual, Charleston presented a $3000 donation check to Dr. Lisa Baron, of the Charleston Breast Center on behalf of Women At Work. Since Women At Work invited Dr. Baron to educate our members and guests during Breast Cancer Month in October, Mass Mutual  donated this large amount for the Charleston Breast Center.

As part of its National Breast Cancer Awareness and Disability Employment Awareness Month activities in October, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company supported Dr. Lisa Baron of The Charleston Breast Center who spoke to over 40 Working Women on the Statistics of Breast Cancer. Cheryl Merschen from Mass Mutual discussed disability benefits that Mass Mutual can discount for Women At Work, and the high statistics of breast cancer victims who require disability insurance claims.
